Hyperhidrosis: Feet (bilateral)

In the treatment of hyperhidrosis affecting the feet bilaterally, Botox solution is skillfully injected into the targeted areas. Given the relatively small surface area of the feet, the entire procedure is typically brief, taking only a few minutes. These injections are known to yield optimal results in managing excessive sweating.
Botox injections block the release of the chemical that stimulates sweat glands, thereby reducing excessive sweating. When injected into the feet, Botox can effectively alleviate hyperhidrosis symptoms.
The duration of Botox’s effectiveness can vary from person to person, but typically, patients experience relief from excessive sweating for about six to twelve months. After this period, repeat treatments may be necessary to maintain results.
Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure. A topical anesthetic may be applied before the injections to numb the area and enhance comfort. Any discomfort experienced during the injections is usually temporary and well-tolerated.
While side effects are rare, they can include temporary bruising, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites. These effects typically resolve within a few days. Serious complications are uncommon when the procedure is performed by a skilled and experienced healthcare provider.
